Jamiroquai 'Cosmic Girl' | Typographical Poster

This project that began in mid April was based around the idea of creating a minimalistic styled poster for the song Cosmic Girl by British funk and jazz band Jamiroquai that would visually narrate, with the inclusion of textures and layer effects, the plot of the song’s very own respective music video.

As you will see, the content of the poster is formulated by the inclusion of simple shapes and vectors that all-in-all depict the supercars travelling down the highways and mountain roads of Cabo de Gata in southern Spain, but with a space galactic-like homage that is tongue-in-cheek with the actual title and lyrics of the disco-influenced track.

For the display mockup, I decided to place the final outcome inside of a wooden frame setting with a particular coloured background that is based on the “dominate” colour (purple), shown in the final poster itself.
